SERGEI ON THE ISSUES
Improve Infrastructure
Rhode Island needs to revivify and maintain its infrastructure, have good roads and bridges, resilient electric grid able to withstand weather conditions. Our human infrastructure, Police, Fire and Rescue have to be upgraded and maintained to highest standards of modern times. That requires careful attention and money distribution by our Legislature.
Housing Solutions

With our current housing woes, state needs to pay more attention to local town by town needs and abilities.
We cannot adopt laws that paint everything with one broad brush, rather than giving more control to local communities, sponsoring growth were possible and requiring towns to do their share in housing development.
Healthcare Reform

As the state in whole, we see low reimbursement rates for medical services and as a result exodus of doctors, nurses and CNAs from the state or complete exit from professions. With aging population, we need to maintain or raise our reimbursement rates to be on the par with surrounding states.
Impactful Education

Year after year we see declining level of education in the state and inability to hire new teachers in several communities. Sometimes desire to improve our schools clashes with towns abilities to bear financial burdens.
Careful balance of impactful education and adequate compensation of teachers is required.
